To meet the growing needs of their regional customer base, Logan Agri-Service, Inc. partnered with AGI to expand their liquid fertilizer capabilities in Knox City, Missouri. The result is a fully modernized, high-efficiency terminal that reflects the latest in agricultural infrastructure and automation. Completed in just four months, the facility is a model of precision, speed, and operational excellence.
Meeting Regional Demand with Scalable Infrastructure
Logan Agri-Service operates five retail locations and four warehouses across western Illinois and northeastern Missouri. As demand for liquid fertilizer and crop protection products increased, their existing infrastructure could no longer keep pace. The goal was to transform the Knox City site into a fully operational liquid fertilizer and chemical terminal that could deliver consistent high-quality service with minimal labor and maximum efficiency.
Empowering Logan Agri-Service with Advanced Fertilizer Solutions
AGI collaborated closely with Logan Agri-Service to design and deliver a facility tailored to Logan’s operational goals.
The new terminal includes:
• A centralized command center powered by AGI Plant Manager software
• A precision weigh tank for accurate, automated blending
• A mass meter with ±0.10% dosing accuracy
• A direct inject system for flexible, on-demand mixing
• A re-pack station for efficient, high-speed order fulfillment
This integrated system enables Logan Agri-Service to reduce shrink, improve repeatability, and deliver consistent results to their customers
Equipment Spotlight: Precision Weigh Tank
