Winnipeg, MB, March 13, 2026 — Ag Growth International (“AGI”) is proud to announce a major safety milestone at its Swift Current, Saskatchewan manufacturing facility: three consecutive years without a lost-time injury (LTI). This achievement earned the site AGI’s highest safety honour, the Safety Standout Award, recognizing exceptional commitment to workplace safety and employee well-being across its global operations.
“This is a key milestone achievement. By embedding safety into everything we do, AGI empowers its team to build grain handling equipment that farmers can trust,” says David Postill, Senior Vice President, North America, AGI. “Three years with no lost time injury reflects a mindset that strengthens our people, our performance and the confidence our customers place in AGI.”
A LTI is a workplace injury that results in an employee missing work. It is a key metric used to assess safety performance and its impact on productivity. The AGI Safety Management System (ASMS), used across the company’s global operations, focuses on proactive risk identification, corrective action, and continuous improvement through both leading and lagging indicators.
Shane Moore, AGI Operations Manager at Swift Current, credits the team’s vigilance and collaboration for the achievement. “It really is all about cross-communication. Our team depends on each other to proactively identify and speak up about ways to mitigate risk. I am proud of the team’s accomplishments and the strong safety culture we have built together,” he says.
AGI’s Swift Current facility is where AGI began in 1996. Co-founders Rob Stenson, Art Stenson and Gary Anderson began producing hard-working Batco conveyors for Canadian farmers. Today, the facility manufactures portable grain handling equipment for use on farms around the world.
Tom Firth, AGI Senior Director of Manufacturing, emphasized the significance of the safety record: “Maintaining safety in an equipment manufacturing environment is no small feat—every day presents complex risks and demanding conditions. That is what makes this safety milestone such a significant achievement. The Swift Current team has sustained a level of safety discipline that is exceptionally hard to attain in our industry. Their commitment sets a standard others strive to reach.”
AGI Swift Current is one of two AGI facilities to receive Safety Standout Awards so far this year. This month, AGI Digital in Lenexa, Kansas also celebrates three years with no lost time injuries.
