Naperville, IL, September 26, 2025 — Ag Growth International (“AGI”) is proud to announce a major safety milestone at its Joplin, Missouri manufacturing facility: five consecutive years without a lost-time injury (LTI). This achievement earned the site AGI’s highest safety honor, the Safety Standout Award, recognizing exceptional commitment to workplace safety and employee well-being across its global operations.
“This milestone is a reflection of the pride, professionalism and care our team brings to work every day,” says Paul Householder, AGI President & CEO. "It’s not just about avoiding injuries; it’s about building a culture where safety is second nature.”
A LTI is a workplace injury that results in an employee missing work. It is a key metric used to assess safety performance and its impact on productivity. The AGI Safety Management System (ASMS), used across the company’s global operations, focuses on proactive risk identification, corrective action and continuous improvement through both leading and lagging indicators.
Craig Sanders, Plant Manager at AGI Joplin, credits the team’s vigilance and communication for the achievement. “Our goal is simple: send every team member home safe, every day,” he says. “This achievement reflects a culture built on training, awareness and teamwork, where people feel empowered to speak up and take action.”
The Joplin facility – a community employer and agricultural equipment manufacturer since 2017 – produces AGI Food-related systems including custom-built silos, platforms, hoppers, conveying systems, and other structures used primarily in the pet food industry.
Noam Silberstein, AGI Senior Vice-President of AGI Feed and Food, emphasized the significance of the safety record: “Safety is embedded in this team’s DNA. Their attention to detail and proactive mindset set a benchmark not just for AGI, but for the entire industry.”
AGI Joplin is one of four facilities recognized this year for safety excellence. AGI Nobleford in Alberta also reached five years without a LTI, while AGI Omaha and AGI Falls City, both in Nebraska, marked three years.
