Winnipeg, MB, June 2, 2026 — Ag Growth International (“AGI”) recently celebrated a significant safety achievement at its Oak Bluff, Manitoba facility—three straight years with no lost-time injury. The milestone has earned the site AGI’s highest safety recognition, the Safety Standout Award, underscoring the team’s unwavering commitment to workplace safety and employee well-being across AGI’s global operations.
“This milestone reflects the strength of our safety culture and the dedication of our Oak Bluff team,” says David Postill, Senior Vice President, North America, AGI. “Achieving three consecutive years without a lost‑time injury does not happen by chance—it requires attention to detail, accountability, consistency, and a shared commitment to looking out for one another every day. The Safety Standout Award recognizes the discipline and leadership our people bring to safety across AGI.”
A LTI is a workplace injury that results in an employee missing work. It is a key metric used to assess safety performance and its impact on productivity. The AGI Safety Management System (ASMS), used across the company’s global operations, focuses on proactive risk identification, corrective action, and continuous improvement through both leading and lagging indicators.
“This achievement belongs to our entire Oak Bluff team,” says Brian Ugrin, AGI Plant Manager at Oak Bluff. “Safety is built into how we plan our work, how we support each other on the floor and how we address risks before they become incidents. I am extremely proud of the ownership our employees take in creating a safe workplace and maintaining these high standards year after year.”
Originally founded in 2000 as GJ VIS Enterprises Inc., the Oak Bluff facility was acquired by AGI in 2015. Today, the plant operates within AGI’s global footprint of heavy-duty bulk material storage and high-throughput material handling equipment tailored specifically for the commercial fertilizer, animal feed and grain processing sectors across Canada, the United States and international markets.
To date in 2026, AGI Oak Bluff is one of five facilities to receive Safety Standout Awards. AGI Marshall (Illinois) reached an outstanding five years with no lost-time injuries, while AGI Digital (Kansas), AGI Swift Current (Saskatchewan) and AGI Clay Center (Kansas) celebrated three years.
