Ag Growth International Announces the Passing of John R. Brodie, Director

Winnipeg, MB, February 28, 2013 – With deep regret, Ag Growth International (AGI) announces
the passing of long-serving director John R. Brodie on February 24, 2013.  John served as director of AGI and trustee of its predecessor, Ag Growth Income Fund, since its IPO in May 2004. His contributions during nine years of rapid growth and change were greatly valued by the management team and his fellow directors.

A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, John chaired AGI's Audit Committee since its inception. Graduating from the University of Manitoba in 1966, John had a 36 year career with KPMG and predecessor firms. Since retiring in 2003, he has served on a number of public company boards and led a very active life as an accomplished golfer and skier. He was also active in community service, including major support of the Vancouver Olympics and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet.

AGI President & CEO Gary Anderson said, “We are deeply sorrowed by the loss of John.  His steady hand was evident, providing great strength and guidance to Rob, Steve and me in the challenges we faced over the past nine years. We will miss him as a valued director and Audit Chair and as our friend."

"John was an indispensable member of the board and a valued friend and companion." said Bill Lambert, AGI board Chairman. "He was able to express strong views in a gracious and collegial manner, and was an important contributor to AGI's success. We will miss him. On behalf of everyone at AGI, I express our sincere condolences to his family."
