Position Summary:

Reporting to the Customer Support and Systems Manager, the Commercial Project Coordinator is responsible for providing sales support for international and commercial projects. Duties include internal & external customer contact and relationship management, estimating and co-ordinating sales orders in order to meet customer requirements while following AGI-Westeel/AGI policies and ISO procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assume overall prime responsibilities for commercial & International customers
  • Communicate with International Logistics department regarding International shipments
  • Understand contract specifications regarding letter of credit, transfer of funds and international incoterms terminology
  • Manage commercial and International customer’s build schedules with that of AGI-Westeel’s ship schedule
  • Creation of operational paperwork upon customer verification of the shipping date
  • Ensure that all commercial and in transit orders are cleared prior to month end
  • Attend production meetings as required
  • Attend weekly AGI commercial planning meetings and be the key liaison between AGI-Westeel and AGI group
  • Attend various trade shows as required
  • Respond to technical questions on the Purchase Order and invoice
  • Internal quotation processing and support
  • Answer telephone queries from customers, including faxes and e-mail
  • Order entry function, ensuring the accuracy of both product codes entered, pricing and shipping details
  • Enter credits/debits into the system as may be necessary, after prior approval
  • Record customers concerns or issues into the electronic Quality database
  • Other duties as may be assigned


Skills and Competencies:

  • Community college diploma or University degree in Sales & Marketing with specialized knowledge of grain storage and handling as well as export services
  • Relevant work experience in lieu of training would be considered
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong customer service and relationship building skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite of Products
  • Ability to multi-task and execute a wide range of details and tasks quickly and effectively
  • Good judgement/problem solving skills.
