The Opportunity

A Full Stack Software Engineer will work on the Applications team to build and improve the software that our customers use. The Applications team within AGI SureTrack creates the applications that collect and translate data from our Agricultural IoT devices to information that our customers can use and make sense of.

This will range from the ETL operations we perform when we receive data from our hardware devices, to building out the APIs that serve our applications, creating the interfaces that our customers experience, and building internal tools to help maintain our dedication to quality.

The Team

Reporting directly to the Senior Software Engineering Manager, this role will work with a dynamic team of talented, energetic individuals in a highly collaborative environment.


  • Build front-end features using React.js and Typescript
  • Work along side our UX designers to implement features and improvements
  • Build microservice API's using GraphQL, node.js and Typescript
  • Build ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processing pipelines using node.js and Typescript
  • Maintain, deprecate, add features to some of our legacy systems (PHP)
  • Ensure cross-platform optimization for mobile phones.
  • Ensure responsiveness of applications.
  • Ensure our entire stack is designed and build for speed and scalability
  • Stay current with new technologies and ensuring that our stack is cutting edge
  • See through a project from conception to finished product.
  • Be the go to source for your teams questions, excited to help answer them, while challenging them on what they have done on their own to find answers
  • Act as an example to your team at all times, advocating learning and best practices and taking the time to do so yourself



  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent years of service
  • Senior Engineer with 3-5 years of related experience.
  • 1-2 years of professional React/Node.js experience.
  • High sense of ownership – You care deeply about how our customers perceive our product and you take pride in what you do.
  • Continuous learner - You love to learn and are always looking to improve yourself and others
  • Excellent communicator – You can clearly and succinctly communicate your ideas and vision to others.
  • Quick learner - You love to learn and are able to quickly pick up tools and put them to use
  • Excellent at communicating your ideas and gathering requirements
  • Detail focused - while understanding the importance of getting a product shipped
  • An interest in learning tools / languages related to our stack (React.js, GraphQL, Kubernetes etc)
  • An understanding of API design and architecture, distributed back-end systems and microservices, or containerization / virtualization
  • Experience with AWS or other cloud based providers
