The Opportunity

The QA Full Stack Software Engineer will work on the Applications team to build and improve the software that our customers use. The Applications team within AGI Suretrack creates the applications that collect and translate data from our Agricultural IoT devices to information and analytics that our customers can use and make sense of.

The Team

This role will report directly to the Senior Software Engineering Manager and work closely with the Engineering team at Suretrack.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain test cases
  • Create and maintain test plans for features, releases, and products by working closely with product development teams
  • Create and maintain automated tests for applications and APIs
  • Analyze test results and users feedback and communicate with fellow engineers in order to maintain quality and resolve issues quickly
  • Participate in the design and development of new products and features.
  • Assist in the maintenance of software, assisting product team in the closure of identified issues.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • Quick learner - You love to learn and are able to quickly pick up tools and put them to use
  • Excellent at communicating your ideas and gathering requirements
  • Detail focused - while understanding the importance of getting a product shipped
  • A relevant college education and/or equivalent experience
  • An interest in learning tools / languages related to our stack (React.js, Graphql, Kubernetes etc)
  • BONUS: An understanding of API design and architecture, distributed back-end systems and microservices, or containerization / virtualization
  • BONUS: You have worked with AWS or other cloud based providers
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively & effectively in a collaborative design team
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, decision making, organizational and time management skills.
  • Good judgment, initiative, and a strong work ethic.       
  • Proficient in the use of MS Suite applications
