The Opportunity

As the Director-US Commercial Grain Sales, you are responsible for developing and directing the US commercial grain processing sales plan. You are also responsible for cultivating business relationships with potential accounts and managing all existing accounts. Your role also entails analyzing and distributing sales statistics and evaluating sales effectiveness by region, division and major accounts on a timely basis and recommending improvements.

The Team

Reporting directly to the VP, North America Commercial Sales, you will be an integral part of the North American Commercial leadership team, working collaboratively with all members towards achieving the AGI Commercial Sales objectives and contributing towards continuous growth and improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and direct the US commercial grain and grain processing sales plan.
  • End user and contractor development and growth for AGI commercial grain products.
  • Achieve sales goals by product and region as set out in the annual budget.
  • Manage and develop the business relationships with all existing AGI accounts.
  • Maintain positive and productive relations with potential and existing customers and other industry contacts.
  • Compile, analyze and distribute sales statistics.
  • Monitor accounts and assist with collections.
  • Manage trade shows, coordinating with all divisions and AGI Sales / Marketing
  • Evaluate sales effectiveness by region, division and major account and recommend improvements.
  • Gather competitive intelligence for strategic analysis.
  • Recommend to the AGI senior team new sales and marketing programs to the AGI senior leadership team.
  • Enforce, within the context of reasonableness, the terms and conditions of sales and marketing programs.
  • Recommend and assist the AGI senior team with the analysis of new product lines.
  • Control relevant expenses to the extent of approved budget.
  • Recommend acceptable levels of exposure on individual accounts.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Post Secondary Degree in Business or Engineering, credentials in sales management and agriculture equipment products
  • 10+ years relevant experience in a agriculture sales leadership role.
