Since its peak in 1986, the breast cancer death rate has been nearly cut in half. Today, the 5-year survival rate continues to improve. But there is still work to do!
Together, we can make even greater strides!
AGI has teamed up with the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) to raise funds for a cure for breast cancer.
“Just like how AGI is ‘right there for farmers’ with industry-leading grain storage, handling and conditioning solutions, the Canadian Cancer Society is ‘right there for Canadians’ to champion world-leading outcomes in cancer prevention, treatment and support,” says Tom Firth, AGI Swift Current general manager. “The breast cancer awareness conveyor is our unique way of supporting this worthwhile cause.”
Fundraisers enable CCS to continue pushing treatment boundaries that change the future of cancer. Rodger Lohman, CCS Supporter Engagement Specialist, says: “We couldn’t achieve this kind of progress and bring hope without the generosity of people and communities coming together."
The MSRP of the AGI Batco UCX³ conveyor is $87,156 CAD. Dealer may sell for less. Bids will be accepted until 12 a.m. CST on October 31, 2024. Multiple bids from the same person will be accepted. Each subsequent bid must follow a minimum increment of $500. Bids which do not follow this rule will be declared invalid and rejected. If equal bids are received, the first bid received will be the winning bid. If bids are received within the last 5 minutes, bidding will be kept open for an additional 1 hour to allow for last minute competition. Highest bid at end of bidding is the winning bid. Winning bidder will be announced by November 30, 2024.
