Vibro Pre-Cleaner is a machine used in grain processing to remove large, medium, and fine impurities from raw grain before it enters further processing stages such as drying, milling, or storage. It improves grain quality, protects downstream equipment, and ensures efficient plant operation. RPCD is designed for processing wheat but can be used for any other grain based on the appropriate sieve installed and machine settings.

The Vibro Pre-Cleaner is commonly used with the Drum Cleaner. In the cleaning process, the Drum Cleaner is installed before the Vibro Pre-Cleaner. The Drum Cleaner cleans all coarse impurities, and the Vibro Pre-Cleaner further removes the finer impurities in the grain.

The Vibro Pre-Cleaner segregates grain from debris and dust through a process of sieving. The Vibro Pre-Cleaner is fitted with an adjustable eccentric motor. The angle of the motor determines the direction of the vibrational force on the grain during the sieving process and can be adjusted. As a default, the motor is set to achieve 150 TPH for wheat.

How Vibro Pre-Cleaner Works

Vibro Pre-Cleaner uses vibration and air separation to clean grain:

Feeding: Raw grain enters the machine through an inlet.

Vibration: The machine uses a vibro motor or eccentric weights to vibrate the sieves.

Screening: Multiple sieves (usually 2–3 layers) with different mesh sizes separate:

Large impurities (sticks, straw, chaff)

Medium impurities (bigger stones, immature grains)

Fine particles (dust, sand)

Aspiration/Air separation: An air system removes light impurities like husk and dust.

Clean grain outlet: Only the cleaned grain passes through and exits through the clean grain outlet.
