Reporting to the Configurator Technical Manager, the Configurator Software Developer will be responsible for developing and evolving product configurators using and extending AGI’s configurator software.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Become an expert in the use of the AGI’s configurator software to support its integration into the AGI Business Units
  • Work with stakeholders to provide input from the technical perspective to help move manual processes/concepts into automated digital flows
  • Work with divisional technical experts and others to capture their product knowledge and business acumen and accurately reflect it within the development of the supporting configuration processes
  • Help with the integration of the configurator into the network of supporting software and databases to insure the flow of accurate and timely information
  • Using your knowledge of Java, Java Script and HTML, enhance the performance, capabilities and aesthetics of the configurator user experience
  • Develop custom extensions though the configurator’s API to achieve out of the box functionality
  • Prepare and execute test cases in accordance with AGI standards
  • Resolve user reported problems through collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Assist and train others in the proper use of the software applications developed

Skills and Competencies:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Software Developer
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Computer Engineering (or equivalent mix of experience and training)
  • Experience with data migration, transformation, and scripting
  • Experience with Java development
  • Experience with databases and database development
  • Experience with source control systems
  • Familiarity with Web API (REST, SOAP)
  • Familiarity with Java Script & HTML
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment
