Maintenance Technicians (level 1) are responsible for the maintenance, repair, and quality control of all products sold by AGI Digital. Level 1 Technicians will ensure adherence to all policies and procedures set by upper management. Additionally, technicians will report to the Field Service Manager - Maintenance and Field Service/Implementation Manager. Level 1 Technicians will ensure that Maintenance milestones/goals are accomplished while adhering to approved budgets and policies. The position requires competent knowledge of all systems and an understanding of department processes. Training for this position will be on the job. While electronic troubleshooting skills are suggested, they are not a must. A level 1 Maintenance Technician will be partnered with a Level 2 or Lead Technician, must follow directions with little to no supervision, be willing to travel, and be a team player. Opportunity for advancement will be performance based.
Reporting to the Field Service Manager - Maintenance, the Maintenance Technician will partner with his Team Lead, and Customer Success across North America to understand the needs of the customer, operation of the system and coordinate directly with the customer for repairs. The Maintenance Technician will communicate directly with his supervisor when the need for escalation arises. They must be able to collaborate with the different parts of the business, including sales, operations, engineering, customer success, counterparts in other regions/countries, and dealers that install and service AGI Digital equipment.
Daily work tasks for technicians vary greatly depending on the type of equipment they are repairing and the work environments they travel to perform these tasks. The core job duties performed by technicians, however, are universally the same despite these variables.
