The Opportunity

The Technical Sales Support Representative is the front-line primary contact with customers and product end users. The TSSR attends to customer queries and concerns, provides them with information, and receives product orders. The role is also responsible for the accurate and timely updating of Westeel’s current ERP system.

The Team

The Technical Sales Support Representative reports directly to the Customer Experience Manager and is part of a team of eight.

Responsibilities

  • Answer queries from customers including via telephone, fax and e-mail.
  • Order entry functions to ensure accuracy of product code entered, pricing and shipping details.
  • Trouble shoot customer concerns over the phone or email
  • Enter credits/debits into the system as necessary.
  • Record customer concerns or issues into the Quality module in Westeel’s current ERP system.
  • Coordinate customer orders relative to Westeel’s ship schedules.
  • Support and collaborate with external sales team.
  • Provide quotes where necessary on standard product.
  • Communicate with Planning and/or Shipping regarding customer-specific needs relating to load shipments.
  • Attend production meetings as required.
  • Attend various trade shows as required.
  • Respond to technical questions regarding the customer’s Purchase Order and invoice.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-year customer support experience.
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude
  • Excellent customer support skills
  • Possessing a mechanical aptitude is an asset for trouble shooting
  • Agriculture knowledge would be a strong asset.
  • Ability to read drawings and blueprints is an asset
  • Background in a manufacturing environment is an asset
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of SAP system would be an asset.
