The Opportunity

AGI is in search of a new Regional Sales Representative- East that will work remotely and travel across the region as assigned.  The role will entail building, maintaining, and managing relationships with end users, contractors, key customer personnel.  The role will also involve providing deep product expertise and sales assistance to customers. 

The Team

Reporting to the Director of Commercial Sales – SureTrack/CMC, the Regional Sales Representative- East will be based remotely and will travel through an assigned region.  The Regional Sales Representative- East will work with a dynamic team of Sales Representatives covering territories throughout the US.  Together they will work collectively with customers, dealers, and other Regional Sales - East across AGI to meet the growing needs of our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate regularly with the sales, marketing, and the production teams, and providing
  • necessary field information to guarantee client objectives are met
  • Follow systems and procedures outlined in the company manual
  • Participate as a key team player by supporting operations as needed
  • At least 50% travel to customer sites
  • Responsible for prospecting, cold calls & customer presentations
  • Prepare quotes, sales activity reports and keep an expense and mileage log
  • Identify prospects, customers and leads/prospects and develop/maintain relationships to ensure
  • attainment of company business goals. Supports efforts to consistently create and grow the
  • base of lead generation
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years working within or selling to the grain industry (preferred)
  • Knowledge of and fluency working in the grain industry
  • Successful sales & marketing experience is a must
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not necessary
  • Strong work ethic, great personality and the desire to make a lot of money
  • Ability to drive the business revenue on a short-term and long-term basis by targeting;
  • identifying, meeting and profiling qualified clients to obtain orders
  • Ability to maintain and increase the customer base by completing cold calls, engaging in
  • discovery conversations & customer presentations
  • Excellent communications skills, both written & oral
