Position Summary:

Reporting to the Master Scheduler, the Receiver ensures that purchased items received match the requirement of the purchase orders. This includes ensuring materials meet the required inspection requirements and are received in the proper quantity and condition.


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:


  • Ensures that products received are identified properly in accordance with appropriate Quality Assurance procedures
  • Ensures that goods are properly tagged when they arrive and are delivered to the correct department
  • Inputs purchase order receiving information into the ERP system
  • Scan hardcopy of receiving documents, PO, and upload into ERP system
  • Generates NCR’s for nonconforming material and updates NCR tracking system when receiver activity assignments are complete
  • Schedules local pickups and deliveries with local driver
  • Communicates with vendors to resolve discrepancies
  • Fills out and submits purchase requisitions for department supplies
  • Contacts purchasing to update purchase order information as required
  • Cross train in all logistic functions for back-up
  • Coordinates inspection activities with inspector in accordance with specified receiving procedures
  • Perform load inspections for shipping as required



Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 years related experience
  • Well versed in Microsoft office suite of products
  • SAP knowledge is an asset
