AGI Hi Roller manufactures a line of premier commercial enclosed, dust-tight and self-reloading conveyors, designed for installation in grain handling facilities, soy and corn processing operations and industrial operations. It specializes exclusively in the design and application of conveyors which will not only contain dust and spilled materials, but will also automatically reload that material back on the carrying surface of the belt.

The Opportunity

In this role, you will primarily be responsible for designing and producing metal fabrication components for enclosed belt conveyors. In addition, you will also determine product specifications, perform verification/maintenance and product management responsibilities.

The Team

Reporting directly to the General Manager at AGI Hi Roller, you will work closely with the Engineering team on specifications, source control drawings, sketches, models, prototypes, and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and produce drawings of metal fabrication components for enclosed belt conveyors.
  • Create bills of material (BOM).
  • Determine product specifications, perform verification/maintenance and product management.
  • Illustrate systems from specifications, source control drawings, sketches, models, prototypes, or verbal instructions.
  • Ensure that the organization’s operating and cost efficiencies are obtained, quality and safety standards are achieved, and customer delivery deadlines are met.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in drafting design or equivalent experience required
  • 1-3 years related experience preferred
  • Drafting and design skills with metal fabrication, material handling equipment, and grain systems.
  • Proficient with computer skills, including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Windows, Word, Excel and Made2Manage. Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems
  • 3D SolidWorks design and drafting.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Mechanical and technical skills/knowledge
