The Opportunity

We are actively seeking a Controls Engineer for AGI Fertilizer Systems, a division of AGI. In this role, you will be responsible for Identifying, developing, and executing innovative features to automated solutions in fertilizer retail buildings using the latest technology that help with safety, efficiency, and accuracy that help feed the world.

The Team 

You will work closely with and report to the AGI Fertilizer Controls Engineering Lead.  You will collaborate closely with a comprehensive support team of engineers, project managers and operations team members.

Responsibilities

  • Own the standard plc software component library
  • Maintain a customer focus
  • Collaborate with controls engineering lead to establish customer requirements pre-quote stage
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplined team to provide technical risk analysis on project reviews
  • Review sales/project releases to ensure the project information and quote is accurate, complete and meets customer requirements.
  • Analyze projects for safety, efficiency, and financial risk
  • Represent Yargus Engineering in project meetings with customers, cross divisional or corporate.
  • Provide market feedback/requirements to the Product Engineering team.
  • Support aftermarket team, customers, or contractors with engineering related installation questions
  • Represent the Control Engineering Team in meetings
  • Identify errors in quoting and/or evaluate change order requirements
  • Own product/software template integrity
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering team for ECR/ECN process
  • Maintain a continuous improvement and team culture
  • Work diligently with entire engineering department and panel shop on issues to prevent decreases in quality and efficiency rates in the plant.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
