Nobleford, Alberta, June 3rd, 2011 – Grain Guard (a division of Ag Growth International), has announced the release of its latest innovation, the Retro Rocket. Intended for the same hopper-bottom bin application as Grain Guard’s conventional rocket-style aeration equipment, the new Retro Rocket’s cutting-edge design provides producers with a convenient aftermarket upgrade and easy installation.
“The Retro Rocket is a revolutionary aeration option for farmers with existing hopper-bottom grain storage. Its patent pending design is one-of-a kind, yet retains all the functional features of our original Rocket aeration system,” says Derek Johnson, Grain Guard Sales and Marketing Manager. “Farmers will have the unique ability to install this retrofitted aeration system in their bins in as little as 30 minutes. The Retro Rocket’s folding design allows it to be moved as a single unit through the manhole opening at the bottom of a hopper-bottom bin for easy installation. When space constraints are tighter, it can also be separated into three smaller and lighter sections. Imre Varro, Grain Guard Research and Development Manager explains, “Grain Guard’s most recent innovation – the Retro Rocket – folds to fit through small openings. This design eliminates the need for any assembly of the unit once inside the bin – it simply unfolds to its working configuration. No sacrifices in capacity were made in order to achieve the product’s added versatility.”
Not only is Grain Guard’s Retro Rocket the first and only rocket-style product on the market designed specifically for retrofits, it is also very affordable. “Our new Retro Rocket will be included in a package offer along with a corresponding Grain Guard Full Centrifugal Fan,” says Johnson. “Together, the two products will be available at a 25 percent discount to our farm customers as a limited time offer.
