Not One, Not Three, But FIVE Years with No Lost-Time Injury at AGI Marshall

Naperville, IL, May 8, 2026 — Ag Growth International (“AGI”) has reached a significant safety milestone at its Marshall, Illinois facility, celebrating five straight years with no lost-time injury (LTI). In recognition of this accomplishment, this week the facility’s employees received AGI’s top safety distinction, the Safety Standout Award, honoring outstanding dedication to safety and well-being across AGI’s global network.

“When we invest in safety, we invest in our customers. Five years with no lost‑time injury at AGI Marshall reflects a team that brings consistency, craftsmanship and care to every project we deliver,” says David Postill, Senior Vice President, North America, AGI. “Customers rely on us to keep our operations running safely and efficiently. This milestone reinforces the trust they place in AGI to deliver.”

A LTI is a workplace injury that results in an employee missing work. It is a key metric used to assess safety performance and its impact on productivity. The AGI Safety Management System (ASMS), used across the company’s global operations, focuses on proactive risk identification, corrective action and continuous improvement through both leading and lagging indicators.

Rob Shrader, AGI Plant Manager at Marshall, says this is a milestone that reflects the discipline, commitment and professionalism of each employee.

“Reaching five years without a lost time injury is not something that happens by chance. It is a result of people looking out for one another, following procedures, speaking up when something doesn’t look right, and making safety the priority every day,” he says. “Safety is more than a metric on a board. It means that every person who comes to work here goes home to their family in the same condition they arrived. That commitment takes teamwork, accountability and a culture where doing the right thing matters more than doing the easy thing.”

AGI Marshall has a rich local history. Well-known for its custom design and manufacturing expertise, the plant has produced equipment for the commercial fertilizer industry for nearly six decades. Established in 1968 under the name Layco, the company began as a conveyor repair and reconditioning shop that also built truck bumpers for area farmers and fertilizer dealers.

Today, the AGI Marshall team manufactures liquid and dry fertilizer solutions scaled to fit customer needs through engineering, project management, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance services. Products include tower blenders, batch blending, control systems, in-plant receiving, automated coating systems, conditioners/delumpers, performance mixers, declining weight/volumetric blend systems, conveyors, loadouts, and other material handling equipment.

Recently, AGI marked its sixth global Safety Week, celebrating employee safety across all sites. To date in 2026, AGI Marshall is one of four facilities to receive Safety Standout Awards. AGI Digital, (Kansas), AGI Swift Current (Saskatchewan) and AGI Clay Center (Kansas) have celebrated three years with no lost-time injuries.
