In an interview on The Evan Bray Show during Canadian Agricultural Safety Week, AGI’s Shane Moore and Ken Silk joined host Evan Bray to discuss a significant safety milestone achieved by AGI’s manufacturing facility in Swift Current, SK. The plant recently reached three years without a lost time injury, earning AGI’s Global Safety Standout Award.
Moore emphasized the team’s pride in achieving the milestone and described the result as a reflection of a deeply rooted safety culture, saying, “We’re paying attention to our details… making sure that each and every one of these folks that walks through our door in the morning gets to walk out the door in the same shape they came.” He added that safety is a daily conversation and integral to every shift.

Silk provided a global perspective, noting that safety at AGI is a consistent, company-wide priority and praised the culture at the Swift Current facility. As he put it, “People are developing a culture of looking out for each other—that’s really what’s important.” He outlined how AGI tracks hazards, near misses and preventive actions across all locations to continually strengthen safety practices.
Both highlighted how safety, product quality and productivity are interconnected, with safe work being foundational to delivering high-quality products on time.
