AGI unveils new bucket elevator

Editor’s Note: This is a summary of the World Grain interview.

In an interview with World Grain at GEAPS Exchange, journalist John Reidy reports that AGI unveiled a newly engineered bucket elevator aimed at reducing maintenance‑related downtime and improving safety in commercial grain handling operations.

The redesign reflects extensive operator and customer input, with a clear focus on simplifying access to high‑wear components—an issue Reidy notes operators consistently cite as a major source of inefficiency.

Reidy details how the next‑generation elevator incorporates multiple inspection doors, improved access points, dust‑tight Rino shaft seals and removable head panels that eliminate the need for confined‑space entry during liner or tile replacement.

AGI leaders told World Grain the system was engineered by re‑evaluating every major wear surface and service point to make routine and unplanned maintenance faster and safer. Available in capacities up to 120,000 BPH and discharge heights exceeding 250 feet, the elevator underscores AGI’s continued investment in equipment designed to improve uptime, enhance worker safety, and meet the evolving demands of large‑scale grain operations.
